ISLAMABAD: PTI-led federal government has decided on Saturday to dismantle monthly pensions of government employees, however to provide them payment once at a time of retirement, and government employees retirement age have been decreased from 60 to 55.
According to Ministry of Finance notification, three committees have been established to fix retirement procedure feom grade 1 to 22.
The first committee will put up recommendations about grade 1 to 16 employees, second grade 17 to 19 and the third one will provide recommendations about grade 20 to 22 retirement affairs. The policy regarding government employees retirement and pensions issues will be promulgated after approval by cabinet.
